HACK4IMPACT

At Hack4Impact we work with nonprofits to create impactful software for the benefit of the nonprofit. Our team worked with Meals on Wheels of Greater New Brunswick, for the year 2022-2023 to create a signup software site for volunteers. 

As a team, we developed a software site with features specifically requested by nonprofit that will be utilized by both admins and volunteers. Through this process, we communicated with frontend and backend teams to deliver the software to the nonprofit. After finalizing our design, we conducted user testing through Maze and further modified the prototype based on the results.

Through this project, we enjoyed learning how different features of Figma worked and working with Maze for the first time to test the prototype. Some challenges we faced were not being sure deciding on best layout for profile page and making it cohesive with the rest of the site. If there was more time, we would have liked to conduct further user testing and created animation on prototype.
