HACK4IMPACT

At Hack4Impact we work with nonprofits to create impactful software for the benefit of the nonprofit. Our team worked with Combined Community Action, for the year 2023-2024, to create a management dashboard volunteers, customers, and administration.  

As a team, we developed a management site with features specifically requested by the nonprofit that will be utilized by many users: volunteers, customers, and administration. Through this process, we communicated with frontend team, backend team, and our project manager to deliver the management dashboard to the nonprofit. After finalizing our design, we demoed our prototype with the nonprofit to further modified our designs based feedback.

Through this project, we enjoyed learning how different features of Figma worked and working directly with our nonprofit partner. Some challenges we faced were consolidating information to create shorter pages and making all the portals cohesive. If there was more time, we would have liked to conduct further user testing and created animation on the prototype.
