AFTERSCHOOL

Rutgers is home to over 800 student organizations, ranging from academic to social organizations, and so much more. The summer before each school year, an Involvement Fair is held for students to learn of these opportunities where they can sign-up for emails, join a GroupMe or Discord server, or follow an Instagram page to stay informed on key events and details. Students must go from table-to-table to sign-up, otherwise, they will miss their chance of participating. 

AfterSchool is an app that allows students to explore and join opportunities, communicate with other students and coordinators, and manage their responsibilities. Through this process, we created user personas and user testing to receive feedback before and after designing our final product. After finalizing our design, we created a demo to show how navigation through the app would look like. 

Through this project, we enjoyed learning how different features of Figma worked and the process behind seeing an app come to life. Some challenges we faced were not being sure what main features should be included and what shouldn't be. If we had more time we would have liked to conduct more user testing and more animation on our prototype.
